True freedom is to be free from the desire to be free from anything.
ADYASHANTITrue freedom is to be free from the desire to be free from anything.
ADYASHANTIWhat the universe will manifest when you are in alignment with it is a lot more interesting than what you try to manifest
ADYASHANTIThe joke of it all is that you are looking from your true nature right now without knowing it. If you would stop being fascinated with the contents of your mind, you would experience what I am saying.
ADYASHANTIThe mind may accept or deny that you are awareness, but either way it can’t really understand. It cannot comprehend. Thought cannot comprehend what is beyond thought.
ADYASHANTIThere is no security in freedom, at least not in the sense that we normally think of security. This is, of course, why it is so free: there’s nothing there to grab hold of.
ADYASHANTIOne must be willing to stand alone – in the unknown, with no reference to authority or the past or any of one’s conditioning. One must stand where no one has stood before in complete nakedness, innocence, and humility.
ADYASHANTIWhatever you resist, persists.
ADYASHANTIIn order to be truly free, you must desire to know the truth more than you want to feel good. Because, if feeling good is your goal, then as soon as you feel better you will lose interest in what is true.
ADYASHANTISo most of us human beings have a very deep underlying conditioning that says that just to be who we are is not OK…….
ADYASHANTIYou will only lose when you resist reality; you will only struggle when you disagree with what is.
ADYASHANTITo see things as you see them or to see things differently—until you have given the whole world its freedom—you’ll never have your freedom.
ADYASHANTIIt has no intention to harmonize. It has no agenda. It just happens. The Truth is the only thing you’ll ever run into that has no agenda. Everything else will have an agenda.
ADYASHANTIInherent in the impulse to be free, is insecurity. The impulse to be free comes from outside of the mind, and because of this, it makes the mind feel very insecure.
ADYASHANTIQuestion your thoughts. Question your stories. Question your assumptions. Question your opinions. Question your conclusions. Question them all into utter emptiness, stillness and joy. The keys to freedom are in your hands. Use them.
ADYASHANTIThe aim of my teaching is enlightenment, awakening from the dream state of separateness into the reality of the One. In short, my teaching is focused on realizing what you are.
ADYASHANTIWhen you rest in quietness and your image of yourself fades, and your image of the world fades, and your ideas of others fade, what’s left? A brightness, a radiant emptiness that is simply what you are.
