My parents were born half a world apart from each other: my mother in India and my dad in Jamaica. But like so many others, they came to America in pursuit of a dream. And that dream was a dream for themselves, for me, and for my sister Maya.
The challenge we’re facing in our country is about more than the actions of a few. It’s about how to transform a justice system that doesn’t work equally for all.
I look forward to working on behalf of a president who will ask tough questions, demand that we be guided by facts, and expect our team to speak the truth.
