I wouldn’t have believed it. I still barely do, truthfully. I’m so continually fortunate that I keep coming across these smart, interesting, creative people who pick me. It’s just stupendous.
It’s amazing what can happen if you just put your arm around somebody. It’s the truest thing and the simplest thing that does the most good a lot of times and I hope that we can all just reach out to each other.
I guess when all is said and done, if there is one last commentary on me, I would want it to be said that I participated in my life. I was a full participant.
I don’t get angry very often. I lose my temper rarely. And when I do, there’s always a legitimate cause. Normally I have a great lightness of being. I take things in a very happy, amused way.
Life is so precious. Please, please, let’s love one another, live each day, reach out to each other, be kind to each other. Peace be with you. God is great.
It’s unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don’t even give themselves a chance to see what they’ll look like as older persons. I want to have some idea of what I’ll look like before I start cleaning the slates.
