Inequality and climate injustice is already the heart of the climate crisis.
GRETA THUNBERGInequality and climate injustice is already the heart of the climate crisis.
GRETA THUNBERGPeople keep doing what they do because the vast majority doesn’t have a clue about the consequences of our everyday life. And they don’t know the rapid changes required.
GRETA THUNBERGTo protect, restore and rewild the living world is probably the most effective solution we have at hand to fight both the climate- and ecological emergencies.
GRETA THUNBERGHope doesn’t come from words. Hope only comes from actions.
GRETA THUNBERGThose of us who are still children can’t change what you do now once we’re old enough to do something about it.
GRETA THUNBERGYou need to listen to us, us who cannot vote. You need to vote for us, for your children and grandchildren. What we are doing now can soon no longer be undone.
GRETA THUNBERGThere are no climate leaders. The only ones who can change this are you and me. All of us, together.
GRETA THUNBERGWe children are doing this to wake the adults up. We children are doing this for you to put your differences aside and start acting as you would in a crisis. We children are doing this because we want our hopes and dreams back.
GRETA THUNBERGMy generation, and those coming after, are the future. We deserve to be fought for. We deserve climate justice, social justice and equity.
GRETA THUNBERGAvoiding climate breakdown will require cathedral thinking. We must lay the foundation while we may not know exactly how to build the ceiling.
GRETA THUNBERGThat we live in a post-truth society today, and that we don’t care, that we have lost empathy. We have stopped caring for each other in a way. We have stopped thinking long-term and sustainable. And that’s something that goes much deeper than just climate crisis deniers.
GRETA THUNBERGThis fight hasn’t yet been won. So save your celebrations and congratulations and support women on the frontlines of society worldwide.
GRETA THUNBERGAll we have to do is to wake up and change.
GRETA THUNBERGWe have not come here to beg world leaders to care. You have ignored us in the past and you will ignore us again. You’ve run out of excuses and we’re running out of time. We’ve come here to let you know that change is coming whether you like it or not.
GRETA THUNBERGAnd in a world where everyone strives to act, think and look the same – being different is truly something to be proud of. that’s why I’m very proud to be austistic.
GRETA THUNBERGBut the real hope comes from the people. And it all starts with awareness.
