GRETA THUNBERGRegrowth takes time the world does not have to solve climate change
GRETA THUNBERGHumans are part of nature, and if we are not doing well, then nature is not doing well, because we are nature.
GRETA THUNBERGThat we live in a post-truth society today, and that we don’t care, that we have lost empathy. We have stopped caring for each other in a way. We have stopped thinking long-term and sustainable. And that’s something that goes much deeper than just climate crisis deniers.
GRETA THUNBERGBut the real hope comes from the people. And it all starts with awareness.
GRETA THUNBERGThe time has come to voice our fears and be honest with wider society.
GRETA THUNBERGWe can’t call for climate justice while advocating for policies and phase-out-dates based on targets that exclude aspect of equity and historic emissions.
GRETA THUNBERGAvoiding climate breakdown will require cathedral thinking. We must lay the foundation while we may not know exactly how to build the ceiling.
GRETA THUNBERGI think weakness, in a way, can be also needed because we don’t have to be the loudest, we don’t have to take up the most amount of space, and we don’t have to earn the most money… We need to care about each other more.
GRETA THUNBERGWe children are doing this to wake the adults up. We children are doing this for you to put your differences aside and start acting as you would in a crisis. We children are doing this because we want our hopes and dreams back.
GRETA THUNBERGAll we have to do is to wake up and change.
GRETA THUNBERGMy generation, and those coming after, are the future. We deserve to be fought for. We deserve climate justice, social justice and equity.
GRETA THUNBERGWe have not come here to beg world leaders to care. You have ignored us in the past and you will ignore us again. You’ve run out of excuses and we’re running out of time. We’ve come here to let you know that change is coming whether you like it or not.
GRETA THUNBERGThe fight for a future doesn’t end here – this is just the beginning.
GRETA THUNBERGWe don’t want these things done by 2050, 2030 or even 2021, we want this done now – as in right now.
GRETA THUNBERGI think in many ways that we autistic are the normal ones and the rest of the people are pretty strange.
GRETA THUNBERGThe fight is not over yet. The fight is only over when the people say it’s over.
