By default I am the good parent. I’ve used my own personal experience. I came from a world where I was in need and starving for the good parent, so it’s like I’m bringing my own persona issues into that. I am the parent that I always wanted to have; that’s how I look at my role.

Try a recipe that uses leafy vegetables like kale, or switch to filling, high fiber grains like whole-wheat pasta.
BOB HARPER -
You can’t be a parent and say, ‘I need you to be more active and I need you to eat right,’ when you’re still choosing to have poor eating habits.
BOB HARPER -
For me, working out is a form of therapy. It’s cathartic for me; it’s a good stress reliever. I know that when I go to the gym I am taking care of myself, and I know I’ll feel so much better afterwards.

When you do these changes, you do these small changes every single day, and you trust the process of what you’re doing. You really do make lasting changes onto your body.
