Being a doctor at Johns Hopkins does not make me any better in God’s sight than the individual who has not had the opportunity to gain such an education but who still works hard.
God has given to every one of us more than fourteen billion cells and connections in our brain. Now why would God give us such a complex organ system unless He expects us to use it?
Middle East has been in turmoil for thousands of years. For us to think that we’re going to in there and fix that with a couple of little bombs and a few little decorations is relatively foolish.
Anyone with a normal brain has the capacity to do almost anything, but when one has special gifts or talents (and everyone has) and takes advantage of and develops these talents – that person is likely to excel.
It does not matter where we come from or what we look like. If we recognize our abilities, are willing to learn and to use what we know in helping others, we will always have a place in the world.
I actually don’t think that I’m that much smarter than anybody else. It’s just that I frequently just seem to know what to do, and I think that’s wisdom.
I don’t know why there is this penchant for snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory, they’ll find some way to destroy themselves. And it is just maddening to see it happening.
We need to understand what is going on, because there are much more economic models that can be used to give us good health care than what we have now.
