A friend of mine had this great theory about the Teletubbies, that it’s preparing us for being mindless. And getting us ready for living in an underground world. That’s why the scenery is so flat.

RACHEL MCADAMSThere’s no one who’s ever been significantly in my life for whom I don’t have a sort of tenderness because they helped to shape who I am.
RACHEL MCADAMSI love vintage clothes. I have a real passion which probably comes from the days of my mum who had this great dress up box that she put all her clothes from the 60s and 70s in – platform shoes and jumpsuits and boots.
RACHEL MCADAMSYou know when you find a great dress, you’ve gotta hold on to it.
RACHEL MCADAMSI did get to shadow some amazing brain surgeons, a female brain surgeon in Toronto, another surgeon in London. And then we had a surgeon onset [of Doctor Strange] every day. So and he taught me to do sutures and was practicing on turkey breasts, raw turkey breasts.
RACHEL MCADAMSI think love is the through line and it’s universal and it doesn’t matter what period of time, time or place, or people, that’s something we all connect to. That’s the thin thread that I think keeps it altogether.
RACHEL MCADAMSI’m a little funny when it comes to blood and guts and stuff like that.
RACHEL MCADAMSI have a certain curiosity for life that drives me and propels me forward.
RACHEL MCADAMSI’ve had heartbreaking auditions where they don’t even look at you. You’re out before you’re in.
RACHEL MCADAMSI’m very silly as a person, but quality silliness on-screen has more of an art to it. Harrison Ford, whom I was in Morning Glory with, has mastered that dry funny better than anyone.
RACHEL MCADAMSI want to work with great directors and try not to put too much pressure on myself and just read things for the story and recognize when I’m drawn to something for the right reasons and try to maintain some sanity.
RACHEL MCADAMSI think I kind of grew up with that a little bit and have great admiration for people who do [medical practice] for a living and who are real empaths. So I suppose I drew on – , from my mom a bit.
RACHEL MCADAMSI was kind of reading you know Judy Blume and stuff like that. But yeah, but I’ve since educated myself.
RACHEL MCADAMSI hadn’t read the Dr. Strange comics growing up.
RACHEL MCADAMSI loved being a part of [Dr. Strange] it so of course you know I would be more than happy to go forward with it. But you know, who knows.
RACHEL MCADAMSOften with film, I find that you’re just really getting to know a person. They’re just starting to sink in, and then you wrap the film.
